We’re hiring for two distinct roles on Best Buy Canada’s One Best Buy Pursuit Group.

  • Product Designer II – Mobile Apps (Permanent, Full-Time)

  • Product Designer III – In-Store/Digital (12-Month, Fixed-Term)

Both roles report to the experience design lead for the One Best Buy Pursuit Group and will contribute to Best Buy Canada’s product design community, shared design systems, and ways of working.

We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.

What you'll do as a Product Designer III:

As a Product Designer III, you will provide senior-level design leadership for in-flight digital and in-store initiatives. This opportunity is suited to a curious, strategy-minded designer who thinks in systems, communicates clearly, works independently, and consistently delivers high-quality work within tight timelines.

  • Support in-flight digital and in-store initiatives throughout the 12-month term.

  • Lead design work independently while collaborating with cross-functional partners and influencing decisions at all levels.

  • Frame customer problems, needs, and opportunities to help teams align.

  • Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research, then synthesize findings into actionable insights.

  • Connect research, analytics, and business inputs to develop clear design recommendations.

  • Create journey maps, experience maps, and service blueprints that identify opportunities and support decisions.

  • Facilitate working sessions that build alignment and move work forward.

  • Concept end-to-end solutions that balance customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints.

  • Prototype and communicate ideas in Figma, using AI-assisted workflows where appropriate.

  • Deliver designs at the appropriate level of fidelity with developer-ready specifications.

What we’re looking for: 

  • 8 to 10 years in product design or service design, ideally in a large enterprise environment.

  • Ability to ramp up quickly on in-flight work and deliver within set timelines.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management across multiple organizational levels

  • Comfortable facilitating through ambiguity to drive cross-functional alignment.

  • Experience in complex, agile, product-driven environments with multi-platform systems (legacy and modern)

  • Ability to design end-to-end, multi-touchpoint experiences spanning digital and physical channels.

  • Highly skilled in using contemporary design tools.

  • Experience using emerging AI capabilities to accelerate exploration and iteration.

What you'll do as a Product Designer II:

Join us as a Product Designer II and help advance our One Best Buy vision. This opportunity is suited to an experienced intermediate designer who brings curiosity, a balanced understanding of strategic and tactical design, strong communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality work within tight timelines.

  • Help frame customer and business problems, needs, and opportunities so teams can align.

  • Design flows, interactions, and interfaces that connect digital and in-store touchpoints across end-to-end customer experiences.

  • Apply design systems, patterns, and frameworks to support consistency and scalability.

  • Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research, then translate findings into actionable insights.

  • Turn user insights, product strategy, and business goals into clear problem statements and scalable design solutions.

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Marketing, and other partners to deliver feasible, high-quality experiences.

  • Use modern design tools and AI capabilities to accelerate exploration, iteration, and communication.

  • Contribute to shared design systems, documentation, and best practices.

What we’re looking for: 

  • 5+ years of product design experience across strategy, research, interaction/UI design, and validation.

  • Experience designing end-to-end experiences over multiple touchpoints, spanning digital and physical channels.

  • Ability to ramp up quickly on in-flight work and deliver within set timelines.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management across organizational levels.

  • Comfortable facilitating through ambiguity to drive cross-functional alignment.

  • Experience in complex, agile, product-driven environments with multi-platform systems (legacy and modern).

  • Experience with Figma, Confluence, and Jira.

  • Exposure to and knowledge of best practices for AI-enabled tools, design systems, accessibility standards.

Annualized Compensation Range

$85,000.00 - $110,000.00

This job is eligible for a company performance bonus in addition to the compensation range above.

Salary range for Product Designer II : $85,000 - $100,000. Salary range for Product Designer III : $95,000 - $110,000

Starting pay offered will consider skills and experience. Your pay can grow as you build your career with us.
