Department Overview
The position is within the Procurement Operations Department of Rakuten Group, Inc. The Procurement Operations Department is responsible for the overall procurement operations of the Rakuten Group.

Why We Hire
As we work to standardize procurement processes across the entire Rakuten Group, there is a need for the strategic and efficient design and development of a procurement system. Accordingly, we are seeking individuals to join our ongoing project to implement a new procurement system and take the lead in driving the project forward.
Position Details
Procurement System Maintenance
- Initial response to system errors and coordination with the development team.
New Procurement System Project Management
- Managing project progress and resolving issues related to the new system implementation.
- Defining and executing data integration strategies between legacy and new systems.
- Providing post-implementation support and handling user inquiries.
- Reporting on operational status and driving continuous improvement initiatives post-launch.
Work Environment
The entire organization has a size of nearly 80 employees, and the department you are expected to be assigned to has approximately 30 employees.
*Due to the expansion of operations, we are also promoting the use of external contractors, so the department as a whole is expected to grow further.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- At least three years of professional work experience.
- Experience in system implementation, management, or operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Business level English proficiency.
Desired Qualifications:
- Work experience in a procurement-related department.
- Experience in implementing procurement SaaS systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa).
- Experience leading mid-sized projects.
