About the Role

To support on managing the governance and risk of the department, and to deliver projects to ensure Policy Service Department is operated in compliance with the company guidance and compliance/regulatory requirements.

This role contributes to the delivery of customer outcomes that are reliable, thoughtful, and create meaningful impact for customers and society. The role holder is expected to embed a customer first mindset in all decisions and actions by developing a clear understanding of customer needs, taking end to end ownership to resolve issues, and working collaboratively across teams to continuously enhance the customer journey—both directly and indirectly.

Responsibilities:

Governance and Control

  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure the POS transactions are properly performed and adhere to all regulation’s requirements and company’s rules and guidelines
  • Proactively look for areas within POS that may be in violation of the regulations, and identify the root cause and then propose ways to improve it to ensure the team can operate smoothly
  • Support Risk Management & Compliance / Internal Audit in various activities including but not limited to annual / ad-hoc auditing activities, annual regulatory reporting
  • Monitor and ensure the controls in POS function are effective and up to date.
  • Coordinate within the department to ensure practice is consistence and with required standards met.
  • Assist to formulate & implement plans to revise existing controls or add new controls if deficiency is noted.
  • Support reporting activities on control monitoring
  • Governance all the related SOP are updated and compliant with related processing rules

Project Support or non-routine task

  • Liaise with respective teams / departments to implement risk Management & Compliance related initiatives or projects to embed risk & compliance requirements in day-to-day business operations of POS
  • Organize and provide necessary training to stakeholders
  • Revise guidelines, forms & procedures manuals and ensure up to date

Other responsibilities

  • Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor to meet business requirements.

Requirements:

  • University / College graduate with minimum 5 years’ experience in managing similar job nature, project management or business analysis preferred.
  • Experience in operation governance, project management and process review in insurance firm is a plus.
  • Pro-active, able to demonstrate ownership in responsible tasks and able to work multi-tasks effectively in a fast-moving industry
  • Good sense of judgement with detailed mind and high accuracy work
  • Result-oriented, aggressive, and innovative
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Advisor
