Position Summary

The Planner II (P2) is responsible for tactical planning and hardware planning management to support production requirements, new product ramp-ups, and capacity expansion initiatives. This role ensures the readiness, availability, and utilization of critical manufacturing hardware such as testers, handlers, probers, sockets, kits, and peripherals. The position requires close coordination with internal stakeholders, offshore counterparts, subcontractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams to support operational continuity and demand fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

Hardware Planning & Capacity Management

  • Own hardware planning activities for testers, handlers, probers, sockets, kits, and peripherals to support production demand.
  • Ensure hardware readiness to support subcontractors, new product qualifications, transfers, production ramp-ups, and capacity expansion projects.
  • Monitor hardware utilization and proactively identify capacity constraints and risks.
  • Coordinate hardware transfers between sites to support resiliency and changing capacity requirements.
  • Develop and drive hardware shortage mitigation plans and escalation management activities.

Planning & Operations Support

  • Execute tactical planning activities in alignment with business and production requirements.
  • Support hardware forecasting activities based on demand projections and business needs.
  • Generate weekly and monthly hardware readiness and planning reports for management review.
  • Maintain visibility of critical hardware risks, recovery plans, and status updates.

Data Analysis & Inventory Management

  • Extract, analyze, and interpret planning and inventory data to support decision-making.
  • Maintain hardware inventory accuracy and ensure hardware databases are updated and reliable.
  • Ensure hardware records are accurately maintained within planning and enterprise systems.
  • Utilize planning tools and reports to track readiness, utilization, and inventory status.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Communicate and coordinate with offshore counterparts, external subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Partner closely with Test Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Operations teams on hardware planning activities and issue resolution.
  • Support hardware procurement requests and capital expenditure justification activities.

Minimum Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in planning, production planning, manufacturing operations, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across global and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Knowledge of hardware planning, inventory management, capacity planning, and production support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with Power BI and SQL is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
