About RemoteBase
RemoteBase connects top tech talent with leading clients and is building a global remote work community. When your team is spread across cities and time zones, culture doesn't happen by accident. It has to be designed, and that's where you come in.

About the Role
We're looking for a creative, organized, and energetic People Operations Intern to help shape how our remote team connects, celebrates, and has fun together. Engagement is one of the hardest problems in remote work: there's no office kitchen, no hallway chat, and no team lunch. You'll help us build all of that from scratch, virtually.

You'll work closely with the People Operations team, with some support on onboarding and HR operations, but engagement will be your main focus.

What You'll Do

  • Design and run innovative virtual engagement activities, such as games, contests, themed events, and team challenges, that get a distributed team excited to participate
  • Manage the Fun Fund: plan budgets, track spending, and make sure every rupee delivers real value to the team
  • Schedule and coordinate meetups, both virtual and in-person, across time zones and teams
  • Collect employee feedback through pulse surveys and informal check-ins, and turn it into better ideas
  • Track participation and engagement metrics to see what works and what doesn't
  • Promote events internally with clear, fun communication so people actually show up
  • Support onboarding and employee records as needed, including welcome experiences for new joiners

What You'll Gain

  • Hands-on experience building an engagement function in a fully remote company
  • Ownership of real projects, not just observing
  • Exposure to budgeting, vendor coordination, and cross-team collaboration
  • Mentorship from the People Operations team

Requirements

    • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree (HR, Business, Psychology, Communications, or related fields preferred, but not required)
    • Creative thinker who enjoys coming up with fresh ideas
    • Strong organizational skills and comfort juggling multiple events and schedules
    • Excellent written and verbal communication
    • Comfortable with basic budgeting or spreadsheets
    • Genuine interest in remote work culture and employee experience
    • Self-driven and reliable in a remote environment

Benefits

  • Fully remote.
  • Flexible timings. You decide your work scheduled.
  • Opportunity to work with a truly global team
  • Insane learning and growth
