About this Payroll Officer role at DEME Group
As a Payroll Officer, you play a vital role in ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. You will be part of a collaborative HR team, supporting payroll operations, reporting, compliance, and financial integrations across our India organization.

Your responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll activities and ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
Validate payroll inputs including attendance, leave records, reimbursements, deductions, and other payroll components.
Prepare, maintain, and analyze payroll MIS reports and other HR-related reports.
Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations using MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Present payroll statistics and insights to management and support data-driven decision-making.
Coordinate payroll payments, tax processing, statutory compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Support payroll-related financial integrations and collaborate closely with Finance on General Ledger and accounting reconciliations.
Maintain payroll records and ensure accurate documentation in line with internal policies and legal requirements.
Identify, investigate, and resolve payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.
Support internal and external audits by providing payroll data and documentation when required.
Work with payroll and HR systems and contribute to process improvements and system enhancements.
Ensure strict confidentiality and security of employee payroll information.
Stay up to date with labor laws, payroll regulations, and compliance requirements.
Your profile
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
4 to 6 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on payroll experience.
Strong knowledge of payroll processes, HR operations, statutory compliance, and labor legislation.
Experience in payroll reporting, MIS preparation, and data analysis.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and strong reporting skills.
Experience working with payroll and HR systems and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with HR, Finance, and external partners.
Discreet, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information with professionalism.
