Parts Loader / Unloader – Steel Fabrication

Location: Ashland, VA
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: Starting at $20/hour; higher pay may be available depending on experience.

Position Overview

We are hiring a Parts Loader / Unloader to support daily production at a steel fabrication facility. This role focuses on handling raw steel materials and finished components used in laser cutting operations.

Responsibilities

  • Load steel sheets and plates onto laser cutting tables and unload completed parts.
  • Assist laser operators with moving materials, staging jobs, and organizing cut components.
  • Sort and move parts based on job orders and production requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

    • Qualifications

  • Manufacturing or steel fabrication experience preferred.
  • Ability to handle heavy materials and perform physical work throughout the shift.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions.
  • Experience operating material-handling equipment is a plus.
