Job Description Summary

The Operations Lead plays a key leadership role within the Service Repair Operations (SRO) organization, leading the Harvest team responsible for recovering high-value components from de-installed diagnostic imaging systems, including CT, MR and X-Ray equipment. The role combines people leadership, daily operational management and continuous improvement, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant operations while supporting GE HealthCare's circularity and sustainability strategy. The Lead is expected to balance hands-on operational leadership with long-term team development, Lean initiatives and operational planning.

Job Description

The role is based in Páty, Hungary and requires onsite presence (5 days/week). 

Key Responsibilities 

People Leadership & Operational Management 

  • Lead, coach and develop the team, creating a high-performance culture focused on accountability, engagement and continuous improvement. 
  • Manage daily operations while ensuring safe, compliant and efficient execution of activities. 
  • Develop workforce capabilities through training, coaching and succession planning. 
  • Lead Compliance, Quality and EHS efforts in support of site and business objectives. 

Operations & Cross-functional Coordination 

  • Track planning of system deinstallations across Europe and coordinate with Sales and Service teams. 
  • Coordinate with Asset Recovery teams to identify opportunities for Harvest activities. 
  • Partner with Field Service Engineers to ensure appropriate testing is completed and test report readiness is optimized. 
  • Support Field Service Engineers remotely during testing phases of high-value systems. 
  • Provide delivery forecasts and operational visibility to Harvest Operations leadership. 

 

Continuous Improvement & Strategy 

  • Drive Lean implementation and continuous improvement initiatives across the Harvest organization. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, process performance and business outcomes. 
  • Balance daily operational priorities with longer-term planning, organizational development and process improvement activities. 
  • Support the development and execution of Harvest operational strategy. 

Qualifications / Requirements (Must have) 

  • Master's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience/knowledge 
  • Advanced level of English 
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with multifunctional and international teams 
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams in an operational environment 
  • Practical Lean experience with a strong continuous improvement mindset 
  • Demonstrated ability to balance day-to-day operational management with longer-term planning and organizational improvement initiatives 
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams, set clear expectations and drive accountability 
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to provide constructive challenge and push back when needed 

 

Desired Characteristics (Nice to have) 

  • Experience in logistics, manufacturing, service operations, repair operations, supply chain or other operational environments 

  •  Experience working in environments requiring high levels of quality, compliance and process adherence
