Our client is a growing manufacturing startup in Cape Town. They build their own systems, move quickly, and give people real ownership early.

This is the role that keeps the business moving. You’ll sit at the centre of it all, between suppliers, stock, production, sales and dispatch, making sure what needs ordering is ordered, what’s made is tracked, and what’s sold leaves the building correctly.

It’s hands-on and cross-functional. You won’t be managed task by task. You’ll be trusted to see what needs doing, and to do it.

Responsibilities

Procurement & suppliers

•    Place, track and follow up on purchase orders with local and international suppliers

•    Request quotations and chase lead times and deliveries

•    Capture vendor bills in Odoo and reconcile every purchase against its PO

•    Keep supplier records and documents (invoices, delivery notes) in order

•    Support import and freight coordination

Inventory & stock control

•    Monitor stock levels and flag reorder requirements

•    Keep inventory records in Odoo accurate

•    Run stock reconciliations and get to the bottom of discrepancies

•    Support stock planning

Production

•    Track manufacturing progress and keep production documentation current

•    Act as the link between production, sales and procurement

•    Check in with the production team on consumables and replenishment

•    Support quality control administration

Orders & dispatch

•    Process wholesale, stockist and corporate orders, including special instructions for key accounts

•    Prepare invoices, packing slips and dispatch paperwork

•    Book delivery slots with customers and stockists, and follow up until orders land

•    Coordinate courier and Uber collections for parcels, documents, samples and printed materials

•    Count, pack and prepare orders and printed materials for dispatch

•    Track shipments and work with fulfilment partners on freight bookings

Administration

•    Keep digital and physical filing, and key spreadsheets, organised and accurate

•    Capture and maintain business data accurately

•    Support the Operations Manager and Head of Fulfilment with day-to-day operations and ad hoc projects

Requirements

•    Strong organisation and sharp attention to detail

•    Clear, confident written and verbal communication

•    Comfort with spreadsheets and business software

•    Accuracy and discretion with financial and business data

•    The ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines without dropping the ball

Nice to have

•    Experience with Odoo ERP

•    Procurement or inventory management experience

•    A manufacturing or production background

•    Import/export administration experience
