Position Status

This is a 12 months fixed term contract (FTC) position. This job posting reflects a current vacancy within the organization. The position is active, approved, and intended to be filled as part of our staffing needs. This posting is for an existing and currently open position.

General Description

To perform proper equipment set-up, operation and in-process check, line clearance and change-over to ensure reliable and quality product is packed consistently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operation and set up of production equipment and area modifications according to GMP, safety and quality standards.

  • Perform all packaging/process activities.

  • Operate, maintain, and adjust process equipment according to established procedures.

  • Lead the mechanical changeover of equipment according to established procedures.

  • Participate in the preparation and completion of all documentation applicable to production.

  • Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs.

  • Clean equipment, room, and general areas for production use.

  • Write and/or revise SOPs for new equipment and/or processes.

  • Train other team members.

  • Perform related computer tasks (Eg. SAP, FreeWeigh etc.)

  • Participate in internal and external quality audits.

  • Participate in quality and customer complaint investigations.

  • Lead in process improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in process improvements.

  • Trouble-shoot equipment and process related issues.

  • Support in other production areas as required. 

Experience and Skills

  • 0-1 years of production experience

  • Good knowledge of packaging production equipment and understanding of packaging processes.

  • Proven Technical Competency.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Self-managed team player, experienced in working with teams in a production environment.

  • Highly motivated, conscientious, innovative, and creative.

  • Computer skills i.e., Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Ability to use and understand automation solutions such as IP21, eBRS, CDISY, Freeweigh, etc.

Education

Required: High School Diploma

Working Conditions

  • Able to lift up to 50lb.

  • Flexibility to support shift work based on business requirements.

  • Rotating shifts including days, afternoons, and nights on a weekly rotation schedule.

Compensation Range

$46,430 - $58,040
