Job Description:

The Network Infrastructure Engineer Senior Associate works in a technically collaborative environment supporting the firm's enterprise and Microsoft Azure network operations. Based in India and reporting to the Network Team Lead, this role is intended for a network professional with 2-5 years of relevant experience who can independently handle routine and moderately complex operational work while escalating architectural, security-sensitive, or high-risk issues to senior engineers.

The role supports wired and wireless networks, routing and switching, next-generation firewalls, remote access, SD-WAN, Azure connectivity, application delivery, and voice services. The Senior Associate contributes to incident resolution, approved changes, network upgrades, cloud connectivity, and modernization initiatives while following


Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot wired LAN, wireless (Wi-Fi), Internet, WAN, and cloud network services across office and remote environments.
  • Configure and support routing, switching, VLANs, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and approved network changes in accordance with established standards.
  • Administer and troubleshoot network access control and authentication services, including IEEE 802.1X, RADIUS, EAP-TLS, certificate-based authentication, PKI integration, device onboarding, and access-policy enforcement across wired and wireless networks.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Next-Generation Firewall services, including ACLs, NAT, VPN, IPS, SSL inspection, DNS security, and sandboxing, within approved designs and security policies.
  • Maintain and support remote access, site-to-site VPN, and point-to-site VPN services for hybrid and geographically distributed teams.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot SD-WAN infrastructure, branch connectivity, path selection, failover, routing, and performance; escalate design or carrier issues as needed.
  • Support Microsoft Azure networking services, including Virtual Networks, subnets, Network Security Groups, user-defined routes, VNet peering, private endpoints, service endpoints, and Private DNS.
  • Support Azure Virtual WAN operations, including virtual hubs, hub-to-VNet connections, VPN sites, VPN and ExpressRoute gateway health, hub route tables, route association and propagation, and secure hub connectivity.
  • Use Azure Network Watcher and platform monitoring tools to investigate connectivity, routing, security-rule, latency, and packet-flow issues and to document findings.
  • Support Azure Firewall, Web Application Firewall, load-balancing, Application Gateway, and secure application delivery services within established architecture and security standards.
  • Monitor Internet transport, BGP routing, circuit health, and bandwidth utilization; coordinate with telecommunications providers and vendors during incidents and service restoration.
  • Plan and implement approved network changes, complete pre- and post-change validation, document results, and follow change-control, rollback, and security procedures.
  • Contribute to office openings, network refreshes, cloud migrations, upgrades, and modernization projects in partnership with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.
  • Work with security, infrastructure, application, and service desk teams to resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and escalate complex issues.
  • Maintain IP address management records, Azure network inventory, subnets, VLANs, wireless SSIDs, diagrams, configuration baselines, runbooks, and support procedures.
  • Participate in after-hours maintenance and the on-call rotation as required.

Qualifications:

  • Two to five years of relevant experience in enterprise network engineering, network operations, infrastructure support, or a closely related role.
  • Practical knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4 addressing and subnetting, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, NAT, and common network troubleshooting methods.
  • Hands-on experience supporting wired and wireless LAN technologies, enterprise firewalls, VPNs, and network security controls.
  • Experience monitoring or troubleshooting SD-WAN, WAN circuits, Internet connectivity, and remote access services.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, NSGs, route tables, VNet peering, VPN Gateway, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Familiarity with Azure Virtual WAN, virtual hubs, site-to-site and point-to-site VPN connectivity, ExpressRoute, route propagation, Azure Firewall, and integration.
  • Experience using network monitoring and diagnostic tools; exposure to Azure Network Watcher, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or comparable platforms is preferred.
  • Familiarity with WAFs, load balancers, secure web application delivery, SIP trunking, VoIP, or Microsoft Teams telephony is preferred.
  • Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, change control, vendor coordination, network deployments, or infrastructure refreshes.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize work and collaborate across technical teams and time zones.
  • CCNA, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or comparable foundational certification is preferred;
  • Exposure to PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform, and Python for automation and interacting with API endpoints is an advantage.
