AB’s Multi-Asset Solutions (MAS) business has been a significant component of the firm’s growth over the last 10+ years and the primary driver of its shift toward more systematic strategies.  The group executes its trades in almost all asset classes – including  FX, Equities, Listed Futures. and OTC Derivatives. 

You will partner with all members of our investment team including portfolio management, research, and your trading teammates to trade our flow across a number of alternative strategies.  You will help to transform MAS trading as part of our dedicated trading desk which will monitor, implement, and execute all our trades on a 24x5 basis.  This desk is part of a broader business transformation that is modernizing all aspects of our infrastructure – from quant simulation. risk models, and order execution.  Improving our execution experience will include working with the investment teams, execution researchers and external vendors to determine best in class processes and determining how to implement them for our portfolios. 

Responsibilities:

• Partner with existing trading team to execute all Multi-Asset flow
• Facilitate the growth of our Taiwan ETF platform
• Advise investment teams on liquidity and market microstructure
• Utilize statistical techniques, metrics, and data to improve our trading decisions and performance
• Apply analytical discipline in trade selection, execution, and risk management by utilizing your understanding of our investment process
• Provide market color and insight on liquidity and timing of order execution
• Develop and maintain relationships with sell side counterparts and relevant market participants. 
• Participate in our transition from AB legacy infrastructure to our new MAS execution platform
• Work with developers to enhance our trading & data analytics platform

Qualifications:

• Direct experience trading Taiwan-listed equities, ETFs, futures and related derivatives.
• Experience supporting ETF trading, creation/redemption activity and working with ETF market makers, authorised participants and local broker networks.
• Significant exposure to:
  -Quant-systematic equity investing in the APAC region, leveraging algorithmic trading capabilities
  -Product knowledge expertise in Equities, Equity Derivatives, and FX preferred
• Strong market structure understanding (of structural, fundamental, and technical factors) and a track record of partnering with investment teams to improve strategy performance  
• Experience with time series, market impact, transaction cost and other quantitative trading analyses and implementation
• History of success incorporating Ai into daily workflows
• Conversant in Python and SQL
• Experience working with multiple PMs & strategies
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field from a top program
