Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
  • Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools and measuring tools (Zahn cup, thermometer, mixer, verniers, ruler, calipers, step gauge, Exacto knives, dremmels, etc.)
  • Proficient using basic computer applications.
  • Basic understanding of geometry; Ability and willingness to perform mathematical calculations with ratios, fractions, and decimals.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Mix basic impregnation compounds following formulas outlined on process sheets with guidance as needed; Select oven program functions.
  • Assist in certification review of expired material according to product specifications.
  • Maintain proper documentation including but not limited to oven charts, viscosity data, etc. with oversight from higher level employee(s); Soak, apply pressure, and vacuum as required.
  • Clean fixtures, vacuum chamber, vacuum hood, and tanks with solvents as required.
  • Safely clean parts at high temperature exposures.
  • Possess ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously (i.e. – while parts are curing, perform set up of other parts).
  • Perform daily machine preventative maintenance; Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products
  • Participate in and support team initiatives; Receive guidance from higher level employees.
  • Cross-train other employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience.
  • Compliantly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation.
  • Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.
  • Keep all shift operators informed on special problems involving operation or set up.
  • Communicate with team to ensure all team members are aware of new processes and/or issues.
  • May assist with proto-type or first time builds with guidance from higher level employees.
  • Assists Engineering and/or Team in development and/or improvement of layout procedures and process sheets.
  • Review expiration date of materials to ensure materials are current.
  • Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures per position requirements.
  • Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
  • Understands and abides by the GE Leadership behaviors.
  • Other duties as required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Assembly, solder experience and/or manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working with resins, varnishes, epoxies, and understanding of basic chemical safety.
  • Experience working with solvent ovens; Experience in a self-directed teaming environment.
  • Familiarity with 5S & lean manufacturing knowledge.
  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn.
  • Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively.
  • Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed.

Physical demands:

  • Ability to continuously use hands and fingers in repetition.
  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, twist, crouch, squat, climb, and/or balance.
  • Ability to continuously sit; ability to occasionally lift to 20 lbs.; ability to push/pull up to 22 lbs.

This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations, working with chemicals, and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining.

The pay for this position is $19.50/hr. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close 11/30/26.
