About the role:

We are seeking a commercially engaged and technically authoritative Microsoft Technical Pre-Sales Director to support the growth of the Microsoft Alliance.
This role sits within the Alliances Impact Centre in the UK, working across sales acceleration and alliance execution, alongside Sales Directors, Sector Teams, Delivery Teams and Microsoft to shape and convert strategic opportunities into scalable transformation programmes.
The Technical Pre-Sales Director will position PwC’s Microsoft-enabled capability layer, supporting clients in moving from initial use cases to enterprise-wide, governed and value-driven transformation.
The role will contribute to the design, industrialisation and activation of repeatable solution plays across the full Microsoft Solutions portfolio, including AI Agents Enablement & AI Agents Accelerator, Agentic CRM & Agentic ERP, Intelligent Contact Centre, Hyper Automation, AI Workforce Transformation with Copilots & Agents, AI Business Solutions, Azure, Data and AI propositions and services from Microsoft.
The role will combine deep Microsoft solution architecture expertise with strong business acumen, actively contributing to co-sell motions, client pursuits and offering evolution, rather than operating as a purely technical architect.

What your days will look like:

• Translate business needs into Microsoft-enabled solutions, articulating value, ROI and transformation outcomes, while supporting deal progression, proposals and executive presentations through clear technical and business storytelling.
• Drive Microsoft co-sell execution, ensuring solution alignment, technical validation and engagement with Microsoft stakeholders (Specialists, CSA, Engineering), and align solutions with Microsoft strategic priorities across Cloud, Data and AI offerings, Copilot, Agents, Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Azure AI.
• Drive technical activation of the full Cloud, Data and AI Business Solutions stack, including Agentic CRM/ERP, Intelligent Contact Centre, HyperAutomation and AI Workforce Transformation, and contribute to the development and reuse of architectures, blueprints, assets and solution patterns across the portfolio.
• Lead hands-on pre-sales initiatives, including workshops, hackathons, demos and rapid prototyping to accelerate opportunities, build compelling demos and PoCs, and support the maturation of use cases into structured opportunities.
• Define scalable, enterprise-grade architectures, ensuring alignment with PwC standards and delivery requirements, provide technical assurance during early deal phases, contribute to the UK community through sharing best practices and mentoring teams, and stay current with Microsoft innovation and roadmap evolution.
  
  

This role is for you if:

• You have strong experience in enterprise architecture, business applications transformation or technical consulting, with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable architectures and value-driven solutions.
• You hold Microsoft certifications, or equivalent expertise, across technologies such as Azure, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, and have strong experience designing solutions across Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, AI Agents and the Copilot ecosystem.
• You have experience in pre-sales, solutioning and supporting complex deals within a consulting environment, combining technical credibility with a commercial mindset focused on growth and opportunity conversion.
• You have a strong understanding of Cloud, Data and AI-driven transformation, including automation, analytics and emerging Agentic AI concepts, and can apply these capabilities to deliver business outcomes.
• You have experience working with Microsoft teams and alliance models, including co-sell and joint go-to-market motions, and can build effective relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders.
• You are comfortable operating in matrixed and multi-country environments, collaborating across teams and geographies to drive successful client and alliance outcomes.

• You take a structured and proactive approach to your work, contributing to reusable assets and scalable solutions, and bring a collaborative and entrepreneurial attitude within both PwC and Microsoft ecosystems.
