  • Provide engineering support during buildout, installation, troubleshooting, and startup of new or modified equipment
  • Identify design risks, equipment limitations, fabrication constraints, and opportunities for improvement
  • Support hands-on problem-solving during equipment trials, process development activities, and production readiness work

Manufacturing & Process Integration

  • Work with fuel development and manufacturing teams to translate process needs into practical mechanical designs and equipment solutions
  • Support optimization of manufacturing systems to improve repeatability, throughput, reliability, ergonomics, and product quality
  • Assist with layout planning, material movement, equipment integration, containment approaches, and production workflow improvements
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to ensure equipment designs can be operated, maintained, and repaired effectively
  • Support investigations related to equipment performance, mechanical failures, production interruptions, or process variability

Documentation & Project Execution

  • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, design notes, equipment records, test plans, reports, and change documentation
  • Support design reviews, technical reviews, project planning, readiness reviews, and cross-functional problem-solving activities
  • Coordinate with vendors, fabricators, and internal stakeholders to keep engineering deliverables moving on schedule
  • Communicate technical status, design risks, open issues, and recommended actions clearly to engineering and project leadership
