Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

Location: Florida
Setting: Remote/Telehealth
Position: Full-Time
Salary: $115,000 to $120,000 per year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Summary

Use your experience as an LMHC to help clients work through the issues affecting their everyday lives. In this remote role, you’ll guide clients through challenges such as anxiety, stress, emotional difficulties, relationship concerns, and major life changes. Your work will involve identifying patterns, setting achievable goals, and helping clients develop healthier ways to respond to difficult situations. You’ll also monitor how clients are progressing and determine when changes in their care may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct private counseling sessions with clients online
• Explore client concerns, background, and factors affecting their well-being
• Set clear therapeutic goals and determine an appropriate course of care
• Help clients strengthen coping, communication, and emotional regulation skills
• Track changes in symptoms, behaviors, and overall progress
• Update clinical records following each session
• Assess potential safety concerns and respond according to established procedures
• Make referrals when a client requires services beyond the scope of treatment

Requirements

• Active Florida LMHC license in good standing
• Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
• Experience providing counseling services to adults, families, or diverse client populations
• Comfortable delivering therapy through telehealth
• Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
• Reliable internet connection and a private workspace for virtual sessions
