Legal Intern – Transactional Legal Team
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented legal intern to support our Transactional Legal Team. This internship is ideal for an individual looking for part-time work and interested in gaining practical legal experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and who enjoys problem-solving, learning new processes, and contributing to a supportive team culture. The legal intern will assist with various legal and regulatory projects, including working with skilled nursing facilities to gather and correct documentation and coordinating with attorneys to track compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate brings a positive, solutions-oriented attitude, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn. The intern will work closely with attorneys, internal leadership, and staff to support legal processes, maintain organized records, and help ensure deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with calls and emails, prepare documents, organize digital and paper files, and support meeting coordination
- Assist with reviewing, organizing, and tracking legal documents, including contracts, leases, regulatory records, and correspondence
- Support attorneys in monitoring deadlines and completing legal and regulatory tasks and deliverables
- Coordinate meetings, calls, and communications with internal stakeholders and external parties under attorney guidance
- Assist in preparing, sending, and tracking legal and regulatory correspondence
- Work with skilled nursing facilities to gather, review, and correct required documentation
- Coordinate with attorneys to track compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and maintain related records
- Conduct legal and regulatory research and summarize findings as requested
- Support attorneys and leadership with project organization, workload tracking, and follow-up items
Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen organizational systems
- Monitor communications and help route relevant legal and regulatory matters
- Assist with litigation-related scheduling, document organization, and other projects as assigned
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Seeking part-time work in a legal or professional office environment

- Excellent research, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, follow instructions, and meet deadlines
- Professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning document-management and tracking systems
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn in a dynamic legal environment
- Positive, professional attitude with a collaborative mindset
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while seeking guidance when appropriate
