About this Junior Data & AI Engineer role at Swisscom

As part of the team, you will contribute to the development, operation, and evolution of our AI-powered agentic product that brings insights from enterprise-scale systems.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data services, cloud infrastructure, AI agents, and platform components
- Contribute to infrastructure automation, CI/CD processes, and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives
- Improve system reliability, observability, performance, scalability, and security across the platform
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to explore modern AI/data technologies and contribute to platform architecture improvements
Your Skills
- Experience with software engineering practices, REST APIs, and authentication/authorization flows
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. German or French is a plus
- Understanding of cloud platforms and Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CloudFormation or CDK
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and operational monitoring/logging
- Working knowledge of Python, SQL, and familiarity with data engineering concepts, AI/LLM applications, or GitOps
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to operational quality
- Proactive attitude and ability to work independently when needed
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and approaches
