OVERVIEW:
At Alo, our focus is on our associate culture, customer promise, quality and safety. The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily inventory operations. This role involves supervising inventory staff, conducting regular cycle counts, identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies, and improving inventory management processes. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and multitasking skills, experience in inventory systems, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise inventory control staff and daily operations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts through cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., Order Picker, Turret, Pallet Jack) safely and efficiently to support inventory control tasks.
- Generate inventory reports and provide analysis to management for decision-making.
- Partner with Product Integrity team to quickly action non-compliant inventory.
- Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) to track and manage inventory movement.
- Train and evaluate team members on best practices and safety procedures.
- Promote a clean, organized, and hazard free environment.
- Coordinate with Inbound, Returns, and Outbound operations.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, audits, and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, FLA, WRAP).
- Be a role model for punctuality, work ethic, and professionalism.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Able to stand and walk around for up to 12 hours at a time
- Ability to handle various tools
- Willing to get into scissor lift and work with various heights
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations, with 1+ year in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems.
- Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PPT, etc.).
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., Order Picker, Turret, Pallet Jack).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to delegate tasks and motivate team members.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Conflict resolution and performance coaching ability.
