An internship for Eastern & Oriental Express, A Belmond Train Office would involve supporting the administrative and operational backbone of a high-end rail service. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in human resources and finance within the dynamic and specialized environment of luxury train operations. The intern will support both departments, learning about talent management, employee relations, financial planning, and accounting practices tailored to a premium service industry. This role requires a high degree of discretion, attention to detail, and a professional demeanor suitable for a luxury brand.

Key Responsibilities may include:

• Financial Data Entry and Reconciliation:
• Assisting with accurate data entry into accounting software (e.g., invoices, receipts, expense reports).
• Supporting the reconciliation of financial statements, bank accounts, and vendor accounts.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable Support:
• Assisting in processing invoices and expense claims, ensuring proper documentation and authorization.
• Supporting the tracking of receivables and assisting with customer billing inquiries.
• Budgeting and Reporting Assistance:
• Contributing to the preparation of financial reports and analyses (e.g., revenue reports, cost analysis, budget variance reports).
• Assisting in data collection and analysis for budget planning and forecasting specific to luxury services (e.g., catering costs, amenity sourcing, maintenance for high-end components).
• Audit Preparation Support:
• Helping to gather and organize financial documents for internal and external audits.
• General Finance Administration:
• Performing administrative tasks such as filing financial documents, managing financial correspondence, and organizing financial records.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
• Professional demeanor and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A genuine interest in the luxury travel or railway industry is advantageous.
