As our Internal Auditor, you’ll play a key part in supporting and take lead on audits, examine and evaluate the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the organization’s internal control systems and procedures. Your drive and ideas will help us move faster, improve smarter, and stay ahead of the game.

What you’ll be doing

As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:
 

Internal Audit

• Support the development of risk-based annual audit plans detailing the scope, nature and timing of audit activities.
• Design internal audit procedures and work programs with data analytics at its core.
• Conduct internal audits to assess the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the established internal controls and procedures.
• Leverage data analytics tools and trend assessments to perform testing of controls.
• Identify key areas of risk within the company and propose appropriate controls to mitigate the risks.
• Discuss audit findings and recommendations with line managers and report significant issues to senior management.
• Prepare audit reports in line with the approved audit plan. 
• Monitor the timely implementation of the management actions recommended in the audit reports.
• Lead Internal Audits and support the execution as necessary.
• Conduct ad-hoc investigations and reviews as requested by senior management.

Continuous professional development

• Monitor the trends and developments in the internal audit area and determine ways to integrate the same in the ways of working.

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table

The necessary skills that we require for this role include:

• Clear, confident communication (written and verbal), and the ability to breakdown complex ideas
• A collaborative mindset, working smoothly with cross functional teams to hit shared goals
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects without dropping the ball
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high quality work
• Adaptability – you stay sharp, productive and positive in fast moving environments
• CIA, CFE, CISA or other equivalent certification
• Relevant professional qualification for example CA, CPA, ACCA
• Strong working experience in internal audit, preferably within in a professional services firm or in-house internal audit function for financial services
• The ability to effectively challenge and influence stakeholders.

Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve

It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:

• In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
• Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
• Experience with data driven audits and related query languages and data visualisation applications (SQL, PowerBI, Tableau)
• Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
• Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
• Use of audit software would be advantageous
• Experience in running multiple projects
• ISO Certification
