  • Lead or support evidence-generation activities, including company-sponsored and collaborative research, in accordance with governance and compliance requirements.
  • Lead or support publication planning and execution, including manuscripts, congress abstracts, posters, and oral presentations.
  • Plan and execute advisory boards, scientific meetings, medical education initiatives, and congress-related Medical Affairs activities.
  • Monitor the cardiovascular scientific, clinical, and treatment landscape, including emerging evidence, standards of care, and external developments, and communicate implications to relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Regional and Global Medical Affairs, R&D, Market Access, Business Units, Regulatory Affairs, and other relevant functions to ensure strategic alignment and effective execution.
  • Provide high-quality medical and scientific input to cross-functional discussions while preserving scientific independence and appropriate Medical and Commercial boundaries.
  • Manage assigned activities, vendors, timelines, and budgets with appropriate prioritization and operational discipline.
  • Ensure that all Medical Affairs activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, industry codes, healthcare compliance requirements, and company policies.

  • An advanced scientific or medical degree, such as an MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent, is preferred.

Experience and Skills

Required

  • Strong ability to analyze complex scientific and business information, identify medical priorities, and translate insights into clear strategic actions.
  • Ability to lead through influence and collaborate effectively in local, regional, global, alliance, and cross-functional environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Business-level Japanese and professional working proficiency in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, CRM, and collaborative digital tools, including the effective use of GenAI-enabled tools in accordance with applicable company policies and compliance requirements.

Preferred

  • Experience in the cardiovascular disease area or a related therapeutic area.
