The role requires strong scientific credibility, knowledge of the evolving cardiovascular scientific and treatment landscape, and the ability to communicate complex evidence accurately and objectively. The MSL / Senior MSL will collaborate closely with Medical Affairs colleagues and relevant cross-functional partners while maintaining scientific independence and appropriate Medical and Commercial boundaries.

·    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cardiovascular disease, clinical practice, treatment pathways, standards of care, emerging evidence, ongoing research, and unmet medical needs.

·    Respond to unsolicited medical information requests within the scope of the role and in accordance with approved processes and company policies.

·    Support advisory boards, scientific meetings, medical education, congress activities, evidence-generation initiatives, and publication-related activities, as appropriate.

·    Identify potential investigators, research collaborators, and scientific experts based on objective scientific criteria and medical needs.

·    Collaborate with Medical Affairs colleagues and relevant local, regional, and global partners to support aligned execution of the Medical Affairs plan.

·    Use approved systems and channels to plan, document, and report field medical activities and insights accurately and in a timely manner.

·    Lead complex or cross-functional Medical Affairs projects and support consistent, high-quality execution across the field medical team.

·    Provide scientific leadership, coaching, and mentoring to colleagues, while not necessarily holding formal people-management accountability.

·    Represent Field Medical perspectives in relevant internal planning and governance discussions.

·    Support capability building, best-practice sharing, and continuous improvement across the MSL team.

·    Strong ability to understand, critically evaluate, and communicate complex scientific and clinical information accurately and objectively.

·    Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills.

·    Ability to work independently in a field-based environment while collaborating effectively across Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams.

·    Ability to prioritize activities, manage a geographic territory or stakeholder network, and document work accurately and promptly.

·    Business-level Japanese and professional working proficiency in English.

·    Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, CRM, and collaborative digital tools, including the effective use of GenAI-enabled tools in accordance with applicable company policies and compliance requirements.
