Industrial Painter / Shop Technician
Location: York, PA
Job Type: Contract to Hire
Shifts: 1st & 2nd Shift Available
Pay: Up to $23.00/hour, depending on experience
2nd Shift Differential: +$3.00/hour
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Industrial Painter / Shop Technician to assist with painting and general production work. Painting accounts for about 20% of the position, with the remaining time focused on material handling, rigging, equipment operation, and other shop duties.
What You'll Do
What We're Looking For
- Previous industrial or production painting experience.
- Knowledge of painting techniques and proper application methods.
- Experience with overhead cranes, forklifts, or similar industrial equipment.
- Background in rigging and material loading/unloading.
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
- Ability to pass a respiratory fit test.
- Familiarity with industrial safety practices and PPE.
- Strong organization and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working independently and with a team.
- Willingness to perform duties beyond painting in a fast-paced shop environment.
