Your Role: Own the Challenge

As an Indirect Buyer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the uninterrupted operation of our manufacturing facility by managing the procurement of indirect materials and services. You will be responsible for securing the right products and suppliers at the best value while ensuring timely delivery, compliance, and operational continuity.

 

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive professional who can effectively manage multiple priorities, provide timely follow-up to internal stakeholders, and maintain strong communication across different functions while ensuring procurement activities are executed efficiently and accurately.

The work model for the role is: On site


Global relocation/LTA support will not be considered for this position.


This role is contributing to the ELSP (Smart Power) Business at our site in Monterrey 3.0, Mexico.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process for indirect materials, MRO supplies, consumables, spare parts, tools, PPE, and indirect services.
  • Convert approved purchase requisitions into accurate and timely purchase orders while ensuring compliance with procurement procedures and policies.
  • Monitor purchase orders and proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and material availability.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and agreements with suppliers while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Analyze quotations and supplier proposals to identify the best overall value for the business.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve delivery issues, shortages, discrepancies, and service concerns.
  • Support inventory availability by aligning purchasing activities with demand forecasts, stock levels, lead times, and operational priorities.
  • Track supplier performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on purchasing efficiency, service levels, and cost optimization.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, International Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Materials Management, or Supply Chain within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience purchasing indirect materials, MRO supplies, consumables, and services.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, including purchase order management, inventory transactions, material planning, and procurement reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and a strong analytical mindset.
  • Advanced English communication skills.
  • Proven negotiation, supplier management, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions.
  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, or similar Supply Chain certifications are considered a plus.
  • Highly organized and structured professional, capable of managing multiple stakeholder requests simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong prioritization, follow-through, and communication skills, ensuring internal stakeholder needs are addressed in a timely and professional manner.
