Position Overview

The Claims-IT Team is seeking a highly motivated IT professional who will be a part of a team responsible for supporting the Enterprise Mobile app scrum team.  This role will be a part of an agile team working in close partnership with business teams to deliver transformational outcomes.
Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate solid technical acumen as well as experience delivering robust technical solutions which adhere to The Hartford development standards to ensure systems are stable, performant, and secure. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop hybrid mobile app frontend, backend, and automated testing solutions with help from GenAI tools.
  • Build, test, deploy, and maintain software applications aligned with The Hartford coding standards and industry’s best practices
  • Promote code reuse and provide full‑stack development support across various products
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical issues and risks
  • Collaborate within a Scrum team to strengthen Agile and DevOps capabilities

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4-6 years of experience in IT systems analysis and application development
  • Hands-on experience with the following technologies and frameworks
    • Hybrid Mobile development Frameworks like Ionic
    • Front-end (React/Angular; TypeScript; HTML/DOM; CSS; JSON)
    • Back-end (Python; lambdas; Swagger; JUnit)
  • Intermediate understanding of the following capabilities
    • Cloud and Infrastructure (AWS ECS; AWS Lambda; AWS Cloudwatch; Terraform)
    • CI/CD and DevOps (GitHub; Jenkins; uDeploy)
  • Knowledge of software architecture, design principles, and design patterns
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and consulting skills
  • Ability to work effectively in both independent and team environments within agile delivery models
