About the Role
The HR Leader, Philippines plays a pivotal role by providing both strategic and tactical Human Resources (HR) thought leadership to the country and is responsible for the development of the overall People strategy including formulating and executing specific programs with the support of their direct reporting team.
The HR Leader, Philippines is a trusted advisor, partnering with leaders to shape talent outcomes, organizational effectiveness, meaningful employee experiences and drive end-to-end people strategies.
You'll partner closely with leaders to support strategic needs and solve complex people and organizational challenges, providing thoughtful advice, sound judgement, and practical solutions that influence business decisions and strengthen organizational capability.
You'll leverage your HR expertise to identify risks and opportunities, execute workforce strategies, connect insights across multiple sources, and translate them into actions that create meaningful impact.

- Align the Philippines people strategy to help Genesys orchestrate AI powered experiences for our clients
- Lead the local HR Partner team in executing strategies
- Partner with business leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategies
- Advise, collaborate and coach senior leaders and managers throughout the employee life cycle on employee relations, performance management, and organizational change - applying sound judgement, local employment law knowledge, and a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach to ensure compliance, fairness, and appropriate risk mitigation.
- Build trusted partnerships with stakeholders by providing thoughtful guidance and alternative perspectives to support effective decision-making.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers on their talent strategies including role design, job levelling, compensation positioning, and candidate assessment for critical hires.
- Facilitate performance and compensation reviews, providing practical guidance to managers while ensuring alignment with company philosophy.
- Partner with global Talent Development team to support and drive programs
- Partner with the Total Rewards team on market data (compensation and benefits) and annual review cycles
- Conduct regular engagements with leaders to understand team dynamics, identify emerging issues early, and provide proactive coaching and support.
- Participate in local leadership meetings/discussions, contributing meaningful people insights that support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with local employment legislation and recommend continuous improvements to HR policies, processes, and programmes.
- Leverage HR data and analytics to identify trends, generate insights, and recommend targeted actions that inform people, programmes and business decisions, including employee engagement, compensation, benefits, succession planning, and workforce initiatives.
- Represent the Philippines by providing local insights and constructive feedback into global HR initiatives, projects, and focus groups.
- Periodically review local HR policies and practices to ensure ongoing relevance, effectiveness, and compliance.
- Collaborate effectively with the broader HR team and cross-functional partners to deliver consistent high-quality employee and manager experience.

Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or recognised professional HR certification in Human Resources or a related discipline, or equivalent knowledge and practical experience.
Experience
- 10 + years relevant experience supporting multiple HR disciplines within fast-paced, multinational technology organisation.
- Experience leading, managing and developing HR teams
- Proven success in devising and executing Site HR strategies for workforce of 500 or more employees.
- Experience partnering with leaders in a Country HR capacity within the Philippines.
- Experience implementing programs, leading change or transformation.
- Advanced analytical skills, mastery of Excel and PowerPoint, and HR information systems.
- Ability to have a strong office presence
Knowledge & Expertise
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, statutory compliance, and HR best practices within the Philippines
- Practical expertise in workforce planning, organizational design, job levelling, talent management, employee relations and performance management.
- Strong ability to maintain and respect confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with excellent judgement and discretion.
- Working knowledge of compensation principles and annual reward review processes.
- Experience supporting organizational change and business transformation initiatives.
- Ability to interpret HR data, identify trends and translate insights into practical business recommendations.
