Salary Range:

$117,000.00 - $153,000.00

What’s the role?
As an HR Business Partner primarily supporting our Product and Engineering teams, you’ll play a key role in partnering with leaders to drive people strategies that enable business success. You’ll work closely with managers and leaders, providing thoughtful guidance on a wide range of people topics while helping to build engaged, high-performing teams. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on execution with growing strategic exposure, and who takes pride in strong follow-through and delivering high-quality work.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Director, HR Business Partners for Product and Engineering. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our

This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What does the day-to-day look like?

In this role, you’ll work closely with leaders to execute these strategies in practice. This involves:

  • Building trusted relationships with leaders, providing guidance on people topics while balancing business needs with employee experience
  • Managing employee relations matters, handling standard issues independently and partnering with Senior HRBPs and Employee Relations on more complex cases
  • Supporting and coaching managers through performance management, development conversations, and team effectiveness
  • Leading talent processes such as performance cycles, talent planning, and succession discussions
  • Partnering with Recruiting and cross-functional stakeholders to support workforce planning and headcount management
  • Leading and executing team-level organizational changes, ensuring thoughtful planning, clear communication, and alignment with broader organizational goals
  • Using data and insights to identify trends and inform recommendations, with support as needed
  • Contributing to projects and initiatives that enhance the impact and scalability of the HRBP function

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

  • 3–6+ years of experience in HR, with experience in HR Business Partnering or similar roles
  • A strong relationship builder who influences through trust, clear communication, and sound judgment
  • A thoughtful problem solver who connects business priorities, people strategies, and data to drive effective outcomes
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and change, with the ability to prioritize and execute across multiple initiatives
  • Skilled at managing sensitive situations with discretion, confidence, and empathy
  • Experience coaching managers and supporting teams in dynamic, fast-paced environments
