About your job

You lead Sandvik Group IT’s newly formed Global Technology Services organization and bring together key technology service areas covering workplace technology, enterprise platforms, infrastructure, network, service management, and global support services. Working through leaders and strategic partners, you create a connected organization that delivers reliable, scalable, and business-focused technology services across our global operations.

You hold end-to-end accountability for the performance, resilience, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement of the global technology services within your scope. You ensure clear ownership across internal teams and strategic partners, including accountability for service performance, lifecycle management, operational risk and business continuity.

Included in your mission is to:

• Build and develop a cohesive leadership team with shared accountability across the organization.
• Drive the shift from reactive operations to proactive prevention and continuous improvement.
• Lead strategic supplier relationships and strengthen accountability for business outcomes and user experience.
• Establish governance, operating rhythms, and meaningful performance measures.
• Balance global standards with local business needs across a decentralized organization.
• Set the strategic direction for technology services, focusing on resilience, operational quality, and cost transparency.
• Drive the autonomous operations initiative as part of our 2030 strategy, leveraging agentic AI to optimize backend services and infuse AI across our group-wide service portfolio.

Location

The position is based at Sandvik’s headquarters in the World Trade Center in Stockholm.

Your profile

You’ve led global technology services or IT operations organizations through other leaders and bring a track record of delivering operational transformation in complex environments. Broad business understanding, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to translate strategy into action are important strengths in this position.

Your background includes:

• Leading multi-domain technology services or IT operations on a global scale.
• Delivering measurable improvements in operational performance and service quality.
• Managing and improving strategic supplier relationships.
• Building and developing leadership teams through periods of change.
• Deep expertise in at least two technology domains and a broad understanding across several service areas.

Experience from industrial, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive environments is considered an advantage. Experience from decentralized organizations where central functions earn adoption through value creation is also highly valued.

Success in this position comes from your ability to build trust, create alignment, and lead through relationships. You communicate openly, remain composed under pressure, and encourage challenges to be surfaced early. Curiosity, sound judgment, and a willingness to challenge established ways of working help you succeed as you shape a new organization and drive lasting improvement.
