Job Role: General Manager

Compensation range: $2500 - $3500 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who The Client Is: A well established Australia based business providing specialised solutions and support services across the Australasian region. The company is known for its customer focused approach, long term client relationships, and collaborative team culture, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous growth.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our remote operations and oversee five key departments: Accounts & Administration, Templating, Programming, Design, and Customer Service. This role is ideal for a people focused leader with a strong background in managing, motivating, and developing high performing teams. Previous experience with Australian businesses is highly regarded, while experience with Real Hub or the Australian real estate industry is advantageous but not essential.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead, mentor, and manage department heads across Accounts & Administration, Templating, Programming, Design, and Customer Service
• Drive team performance through coaching, goal setting, and regular performance reviews
• Oversee daily operations to ensure productivity, quality, and service standards are consistently met
• Monitor departmental KPIs and implement strategies to improve efficiency and performance
• Allocate resources and manage workloads across teams
• Develop and improve operational processes and workflows
• Collaborate with senior leadership on business planning and strategic initiatives
• Support recruitment, onboarding, employee development, and succession planning
• Resolve operational and team challenges while fostering a positive, accountable culture
• Ensure exceptional customer service and cross functional collaboration across all departments

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in a General Manager, Operations Manager, Business Manager, or similar leadership role
• Proven experience managing multiple departments and leading teams of 30+ employees
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills
• Experience working with Australian businesses is highly desirable
• Previous experience with Real Hub or the Australian real estate industry is advantageous but not essential
• Strong understanding of KPI management, workforce planning, and operational improvement
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Asana, Monday.com, ClickUp, Trello, Jira, or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 or Google Workspace
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem solving skills
• Ability to work Australian business hours and lead a remote team effectively
• Must be willing to work onsite from the Makati office, where the Philippine team of approximately 30 employees is based.
