Now Hiring: Food Service Specialist II

Make a difference through great food and great service!

We are looking for a dependable and motivated Food Service Specialist II to join our team and help provide quality meals and excellent food service to individuals in our inpatient and enhanced residential facilities.

This position will serve as a floater between Lighthouse Services in Woodward and the Fort Supply Inpatient Unit, providing support where needed and helping ensure meals are prepared and served safely, efficiently, and with care.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and serve meals for inpatient and residential facilities.
• Use a variety of cooking and baking equipment and supplies.
• Cut and prepare meat, poultry, and fish.
• Fry, roast, bake, and prepare a variety of foods.
• Assist with maintaining an organized, clean, and sanitary kitchen and food-service area.
• Provide direction and assistance to employees performing simple and routine food-handling and serving duties.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures.
• Work as part of a team to ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule.

Job Type/Salary:

• Primary Working Hours: 6:00am-2:30 or 9:30 - 6:00pm
• Annual Salary - $32,500.00/$15.62
• Number of Vacancies - 1(one)
• FLSA Statues: Non-Exempt

Qualifications: Requirements at this level consist of one year of experience in commercial or institutional food service or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of vocational of technical school training in food preparation for the required experience.

Special Requirements:  

• Applicant must be able to pass an OSBI background. 

• Must possess a US driver’s license to perform job related travel if necessary.  
• Upon a conditional offer of employment, applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs.  Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result. 
• (if Required) Applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and be able to pull a maximum force of 25 pounds. 

THIS AGENCY REQUIRES COVERAGE 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS PER WEEK. WORK HOURS AND LOCATION MAY VARY DEPENDING ON BUSINESS NECESSITY. EMPLOYEES MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK WEEKENDS AND OVERTIME.
