Job Description

Volunteer Position. The Faith & Farming (FF) Network Coordinator manages, nurtures, and scales the global Faith and Farming movement. This is a people-first, relational role focused on weaving together a global community of practitioners, training alumni, and organizational partners to foster collaboration and local impact.

Job Profile: Volunteer position of Faith & Farming Network Coordinator

Position Type: 3-Year Appointment

Assignment: (approx. 20 hours per week)


Key Responsibilities

1. Movement Coordination & Galvanization

Network Mobilization: Serve as the primary global point of contact for new inquiries; proactively connect regional leaders and practitioners to foster peer-to-peer collaboration.

Digital Presence & Communication: Maintain and update the Faith and Farming website; curate and distribute regular newsletters and social media content to keep the global network inspired and informed.

Online Event Facilitation: Organize, host, and moderate regular global webinars, virtual training sessions, and community "roundtables."

Knowledge Management: Curate, organize, and maintain a digital library of resources, training materials, and recorded presentations for use by SIL teams, partners, and Bible schools.

2. Monitoring, Evaluation & Compliance

Data Management: Maintain an accurate, secure database of global participants, practitioners, and regional hubs.

Grant Metric Tracking: Manage the reporting dashboard to track key Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) metrics (e.g., attendance, regional demographics, and local action plans) required by funding partners.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

The "Working Genius" Profile: High Galvanizing (G) energy to ignite and scale the movement, balanced with the Tenacity (T) or Enablement (E) required to sustain digital platforms and support a global community.

Digital Communication: Proficient in basic website management (e.g., Google Sites), email marketing software, and community communication tools (e.g., WhatsApp, Slack).

Cross-Cultural Facilitation: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently host Zoom events for a diverse, global audience while navigating varying time zones and levels of English proficiency.

Editorial Competency: Strong writing and copy-editing skills, with a proven ability to translate complex theological or environmental concepts into clear, accessible content.


Education and Experience

Experience: 2–3 years of experience in communications, network coordination, or community management.

Background: Proven experience working within a mission, NGO, or multi-stakeholder environment where cross-cultural coordination was required.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Education, Theology, Agriculture, or a related field of study.


3-Year Roadmap & Milestones

Year 1: Mobilization & Infrastructure

Focus: Visibility, Foundations, and Structural Setup

Pilot Regional Hubs: Formalize two pilot regional hubs (e.g., Africa, SE Asia) by appointing local volunteer champions and establishing communication workflows.

Digital Launch: Relaunch the FF website and resource library, featuring an initial searchable directory of 100+ mapped practitioners.

Compliance Setup: Establish the grant-required "Reporting Dashboard" to seamlessly track participant attendance and initial local action plans.

Year 2: Expansion & Peer-to-Peer Growth

Focus: Movement Multiplication and Knowledge Capturing

Hub Multiplication: Expand the regional hub model to two additional global regions and facilitate bi-monthly "Hub Leader" synchronization meetings.

Peer-Learning Series: Host 6 practitioner-led online presentations showcasing local stories of land restoration and faith, archiving them into the digital library.

Year 3: Sustainability & Legacy

Focus: Autonomy, Impact, and Distribution

Training Audit: Document 20+ instances where regional hub members have independently trained local farmers using network resources (Trainer of Trainers model).

Network Governance: Transition the FF Network toward a sustainable, long-term governance model (e.g., a regional leadership council) to ensure continuity beyond the initial 3-year grant.

Final Impact Reporting: Synthesize network data to deliver a comprehensive grant close-out report demonstrating measurable shifts in local land stewardship and food security.
