Role Description

We are seeking a highly adaptable, high-energy and hard-working Event Manager to assist with the planning, execution, and wrap -up of our diverse entertainment calendar. Operating within Dublin's iconic 14,000-capacity 3Arena, this role involves a fast-paced environment hosting everything from heavy-production arena concert tours to intimate comedy sets, high-profile sports, and family arena shows.

In this role as a member of a small event management team, you will be the primary point of contact for promoters, and production staff. You will ensure that each distinct event format transitions seamlessly, safely, and profitably while maintaining high customer satisfaction for up to 14,000 patrons a night in the heart of the Dublin Docklands.

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

• Solid event management experience specifically within a mid-to-large scale arena, stadium, or prominent live entertainment venue (ideally 10,000+ capacity).
• Direct, hands-on experience handling the vastly different operational needs of live music touring, live broadcast sports, and family theatrical shows.
• Strong familiarity with Irish health and safety legislation, Code of Practice for Safety at Indoor Concerts, and local licensing laws.
• Proven ability to manage large crowds, sudden schedule changes, and technical emergencies with a composed, solution-oriented mindset.
• Consistently available to work non-traditional hours; your schedule will directly mirror our busy event calendar of nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft office, ticketing platforms, and basic digital scheduling tools.

What the role includes

• Liaising with visiting security teams to ensure rider and any other specific requirements are met.
• Liaising with Ticketmaster and Promoter’s ticketing staff, to ensure correct number of tickets are held to facilitate productions. Checking seating maps to ensure accuracy and troubleshooting ticketing issues.
• Working closely with the facilities and cleaning teams to ensure the venue is in a pristine condition for every single event.
• Collaborate with local authorities, including An Garda Síochána, Dublin City Council, and private security contractors to coordinate external crowd management, traffic management plans, and egress protocols.
• Produce and act upon risk assessments.
• Anticipated audience profile, band history, intelligence from other venues and information from AGS.
• Tailor internal crowd management strategies based on the event demographic—ranging from high-energy mosh pits at rock concerts to family-friendly amenities.
• Schedule, and brief all event-day personnel, including Security, Medics, Fire Officer, ticket scanning operations, and ushers.
• Serve as the main on-site venue representative and work with the Promoters representative to deal with any requests and queries the visiting company may have.
• Manage real-time seating issues, handling seating upgrades, restricted-view relocations, and box office ticket issues as they occur.
• Resolve backstage and front-of-house operational bottlenecks and be able to react positively to any issue which may occur.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints.
• Manage operational event budgets, carefully monitoring staff hours, cleaning costs and all other operational variable costs and provide cost information to the Finance department as required.
• Execute prompt post-show reports, reconciling final venue staffing costs, merchandise cuts, and facility fees directly with the visiting Tour Accountant.
• Process invoices in a timely fashion for all suppliers.
• Carry out duties as required by the General Manager
