About this EUAA - Access to Asylum Procedures Assistant(interim support)-Multiple Locations role at LMW
LMW, on behalf of the European Union Agency for Asylum (EUAA) is looking for an Access to Asylum Procedures Assistant to join their team.
The Access to Asylum Procedures Assistant - interim support works under the supervision of EUAA in performing some or all of the following tasks:
- Support the processing of international protection applications (registering, lodging) by third country nationals and the registering of temporary protection (TP) beneficiaries in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures of the Greek authorities, relevant guidance and EUAA working instructions;
- Implement data entry/registration of asylum claims and upload documents into the relevant databases;
- Collect biometric data, as part of the registration of the asylum claims and TP beneficiaries into the relevant databases;
- Take fingerprints, as part of the registration of the asylum claims into the relevant databases;
- Support in the scheduling of activities, such as registrations, interviews etc. in accordance with availability of resources and relevant guidance;
- Provide information to applicants for international protection, TP beneficiaries and their representatives or other parties entitled to receive information on case specific and/or on the overall asylum procedure;
- Manage efficiently the presence and flow of applicants within the respective operating area of the national authorities;
- Support in the proper allocation of interpreters to facilitate the operational activities;
- Provide administrative support relevant to registration of the claim of applicants for international protection;
- Draft documents, templates, minutes and reports in accordance with EUAA guidance and relevant working instructions;
- Manage documents/Scan/Archive;
- Keep records and manage tools and databases;
- Liaise with staff and external stakeholders regarding routine procedures;
- Attend regular meetings with EUAA at national or local level, as requested;
- Participate in trainings organised by EUAA or other stakeholders, locally or in other locations, when requested;
- Be available to participate in missions, as per the operational needs of EUAA;
- Provide to EUAA regular analytical and statistical reports of provided services, challenges faced and best practices observed;
- Perform any other tasks in the interest of the service, relevant for the specific profile.
Requirements
- University degree will be considered as an asset;
- Demonstrated previous experience in relevant tasks will be considered as an asset;
- Fluency in Greek (C1/C2) and English (C1/C2) (oral and written) is required;
- Computer literacy, including MS Office applications (Word, Excel), use of internet and web-based applications is required;
- Very good intercultural/interdisciplinary communication skills;
- Excellent organizational and prioritisation skills;
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and under pressure.
Locations to be covered immediately:
Chios, Samos, Leros, Kos, Diavata
* With regard to potential future openings, candidates may also indicate an interest in Lesvos, Athens and/or Malakasa. Their interest will be recorded, and they may be considered for opportunities in these locations should future operational needs arise.
