ERP(SAP) Platform & Infrastructure Technical Expert (m/w/d)
The Mission & Scope
Airbus Aerostructures is pioneering its digital transformation, and we are seeking a proactive SAP Technical Expert with a strong leadership mindset. You will bridge architectural vision and hands-on execution, ensuring seamless business continuity across our legacy systems while steering operational readiness for our S/4HANA Cloud transition.
Scope: Core ERP, EWM, GTS, Technical Solutions, S/4HANA Cloud, and SAP BTP.
Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Operations (On-Premise & Cloud): Act as the primary technical SME and lead deep-level administration, HANA DB optimization, trace analysis, and central infrastructure orchestration (Cloud Connectors, Web Dispatchers, STMS/ChaRM, SSO) across hybrid environments.
Advanced S/4HANA Operations & Migrations: Lead S/4HANA conversion activities—including advanced SUM/DMO transitions—and manage S/4HANA Cloud testing landscapes, system refreshes, and target provisioning.
Lifecycle Management, Monitoring & Automation: Drive system enhancements and release cycles, manage high-availability/disaster recovery setups, implement observability frameworks (SAP Cloud ALM / BTP), and design Infrastructure-as-Code workflows to automate standard BASIS routines.
Security, Compliance & Audit Readiness: Enforce system hardening, patch orchestration, and SSL/TLS certificate management. Monitor security/gateway logs, remediate vulnerabilities, and lead technical preparations for internal and external SAP audits in alignment with cybersecurity standards.
Project Management & Service Leadership: Ideate, steer, and deliver complex technical projects to optimize ERP performance and transformations. Drive continuous improvement in partner service delivery and manage connectivity pipelines (REST/SOAP/RFC APIs, SAP Event Mesh) across cross-functional teams.
Desired skills and qualifications
Education: Degree in Computer Science / Business Informatics OR a vocational degree as an IT Specialist with proven advanced training.
Experience & Mindset: Multi-year track record in SAP BASIS and platform infrastructure administration for complex hybrid landscapes, paired with a project-leading mindset.
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, SAP EWM, SAP HANA DB (Linux/Windows), SAP BTP, Cloud Connector, and SAP Cloud ALM.
Communication: Excellent stakeholder management skills in complex, matrixed organizations.
Languages: Proficient in English; German language skills are a strong advantage
