Partner with the best
As an Engineer 1, you will support electronic subsystem developments through individual contribution and teamwork. The qualified candidate will be assigned developments ranging from conceptual design to validation testing and commercial release. Support for released designs will also be in scope which include troubleshooting/diagnostics and maintenance. This position will have regular communication with the Houston Texas office and/or the Farnborough UK office depending on the assigned project.
As an Engineer 1, you will also be responsible for:
- Capturing electrical design specifications and generating requirements documents
- Design concept and simulation/modeling using CAD software and AI.
- Component selection and schematic building
- Altium PCBA layout to generate commercial Cad file set for the board to be build and ordered.
- Testing and qualification of finished PCBA in an engineering lab environment.
Desired Electrical Skills
A successful candidate will have good coverage of the following skills:
- Strong skills with PCBA layout in Altium 21 or higher. Typical boards will be 4-10 layers.
- Experience in an electrical lab with Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers, meters, etc. for testing and debugging electrical circuits and systems.
- A solid fundamental understanding of PCBA electronics down to the component level.
- Analog circuits using op-amps, diodes, transistors etc. Basic data acquisition using ADCs
- Small to medium microcontrollers from TI C2000/MSP430 family or similar from ST, Microchip etc.
- Exposure to embedded firmware development is a plus.
- Familiarity with PCBA ordering and assembly process to support purchasing of boards
- Familiarity with proper lab soldering techniques to support modification of PCBAs is a plus. Professional engineering documentation of design and procedures

To be successful in this role you will:
- Have an electrical/electronics engineering degree from an accredited college
- Have fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Have flexibility to interface with the USA team that is in a later time zone (12 hours offset)
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with teams, customers and stakeholders
