Are you passionate about software quality, automation, and verification? Do you enjoy working closely with development teams while helping shape the next generation of robotic lawn mowers? Then this could be the opportunity for you.

At Husqvarna Robotics R&D, we develop autonomous robotic products used by customers around the world. Our robotic lawn mowers combine software, electronics, sensors, and mechanics, creating exciting technical challenges and opportunities for innovation.

You will be part of our Technology Development organization, working closely with specialist teams in areas such as Connectivity, Positioning, Vision, Navigation, Platform Software, and Embedded Verification.

About the Role

As an Embedded Software Verification Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software delivered across multiple robotic mower platforms. Working closely with software developers, architects, and system engineers, you will help verify that new functionality integrates seamlessly while core product capabilities continue to perform as expected.

The Embedded Verification team acts as a quality gate for software developed across several product platforms. Every day, the team verifies the latest software changes, ensuring that robotic mowers can be programmed, updated, connected, and continue to perform their core functions reliably.

The role offers a combination of automation, verification, troubleshooting, and hands-on engineering, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with both software and physical test environments.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining automated test suits, verification frameworks, DevOps, and Continuous Integration environments
  • Operating and improving Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test environments
  • Monitoring nightly software builds and analyzing verification results across multiple product platforms
  • Investigating failures, performing root cause analysis, and working closely with developers to resolve issues
  • Planning and executing robotic mower field validation activities
  • Using operational data and AI-assisted tools to continuously improve software quality and verification efficiency
  • Supporting development teams with software quality assurance during new product development
  • Driving improvements in automation, verification methods, and quality assurance processes

Your profile

You enjoy working close to both software and hardware and thrive in a collaborative environment where developers and verification engineers work together to solve technical challenges.

You are proactive, analytical, and comfortable building relationships across the organization to drive issues to resolution.

While automation and scripting are important parts of the role, you also enjoy working hands-on with physical test equipment, robotic mower platforms, and verification environments to understand the complete system.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in software verification, test automation, software quality assurance, or software validation
  • Experience with Python scripting
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Meritorious Qualifications

  • Experience working with Continuous Integration and Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Linux-based development environments
  • Knowledge of C and/or C++
  • Experience with embedded software development, verification, or validation
  • Experience working with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments and automated test systems
  • Experience troubleshooting complex embedded systems and collaborating closely with software developers
  • Experience from robotics, automotive, or other complex embedded products
  • Ability to communicate in Swedish
