Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a full-time professional to join our dynamic and growing organisation in Morocco.  

The successful candidate will be working daily with Financial Institutions focused on making an impact alongside their returns in emerging markets, many of those are at the forefront of embedding sustainability in their day-to-day approach to business.   

The ideal candidate must have experience working in the ESG/Sustainable Finance space. An effective communicator and project manager with a strong work ethic and a proactive, can-do  attitude is required as the role is dynamic, and will require the management of multiple  workstreams and priorities simultaneously. 

The role will entail the following:  

• Leading and managing environmental and social (E&S) Due Diligence and 

project independent monitoring in emerging markets, including Morocco; 

• Participating to the development of E&S Management Systems, delivery of 

E&S Training and Capacity Building and other E&S Strategy advisory work for 
financial institutions (TCFD, 2x Challenge, Paris Agreement, etc.); 

• Strong appetite for innovation in the E&S services including for deeper dive 
  and use of technology in land acquisition, human rights, carbon and climate 

change, ESG reporting and disclosure, job quality, gender impact investing 
and green finance; 

• Have site-based experience in a wide variety of sectors e.g., manufacturing, 

infrastructure, renewables, finance, power etc., 

• Work with banks, funds and other investors; 

• Work with other subject matter experts to develop tools, distil insights and 

knowledge into guidance and strategies for clients  

• Project leadership and management, including being responsible for day-to-day 

aspects of project deliverables, resourcing, site visit planning, financial management  and client liaison 

• Business development and sales to new and existing clients 

• Preparing and delivering proposals and marketing materials  

• Building and managing working relationships with clients and other stakeholders in the

industry  

• Developing and enhancing our technical service offerings to clients 

• Actively recruiting, mentoring and coaching team members to their highest potential  

Requirements of the candidate: 

• Experience delivering medium, large and complex due diligence assessments in 

emerging markets across a wide range of sectors with familiarity with standards such  as IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles etc is required 

• An ability to conduct E&S related training 

• An ability to analyse and interpret technical information to understand and articulate 

potential ESG risks and opportunities and commercial implications for a business and to be able to propose pragmatic solutions to mitigate / enhance these  

• An entrepreneurial spirit with an ability to spot and contribute to turning larger market 

trends into opportunities for clients and IBIS 

• A passion for sustainability, and driving value through improved environmental and 

social performance and impact 

• Excellent grasp of the French, English and Arabic languages (including writing) 

• Experience and skills to supervise project team(s), coach and mentor junior staff 

• Excellent attention to detail and a focus on high quality outputs 
• Excellent people skills, being able to engage and foster relationships across geographies and cultures
