What You'll Do

As an Engineering Manager within Intel's Data Center Group, you will lead a team responsible for developing sophisticated software tools that help engineers design, validate, and optimize complex systems.

You will:

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of software engineers and architects.
• Drive the delivery of innovative debugging, tracing, and performance analysis solutions.
• Guide software development activities across the full lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through implementation, validation, release, and support.
• Establish clear objectives and create an environment of accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• Partner with stakeholders, customers, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
• Champion engineering best practices, quality standards, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Support hiring, coaching, career development, and performance management within your team.
• Ensure predictable execution and high-quality software delivery across complex product release cycles.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years leading engineers through formal management or technical leadership responsibilities.
• Hands-on experience developing debugging tools, compilers, toolchains, runtimes, or performance analysis software.
• Experience contributing to or leading engagement with open-source software communities.
• Strong understanding of HPC and AI software ecosystems, including: SYCL OpenMP GPU runtimes and drivers MPI Cluster computing environments AI frameworks
• Solid knowledge of Linux internals and software packaging ecosystems (DEB/RPM).
• Experience supporting enterprise or strategic customers and managing complex cross-functional dependencies.
• Understanding of the platform development lifecycle, including pre-silicon enablement and early hardware validation.
• Proven ownership of software quality, including defect management, CI/CD, test automation, and release readiness.
• Demonstrated success in hiring, coaching, mentoring, and developing engineering talent.
• Strong English communication skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with GDB or LLDB architecture and internals.
• Knowledge of ELF and DWARF debugging standards.
• Experience with stack unwinding and remote debugging technologies.
• Understanding of GPU debugging concepts, including SIMD/SIMT execution models and accelerator debugging APIs.
• Experience delivering software across both Linux and Windows environments.
• Familiarity with IDE debugger integrations.
• German language skills are a plus.

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry.

Annual Salary Range for this job which could be performed in Germany is: 83 390,00 € - €150,850.00 The compensation range displayed in this posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for this position. Within this range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience, and relevant education, training. As part of our total compensation approach, the final offer may include additional pay components and benefits. Your recruiting team will share the confirmed base salary along with any applicable total compensation elements upon employment offer delivery.

Work Model for this Role
