CDL A Delivery Driver – Position Overview
Join us in delivering more than just food; we deliver trust, reliability, and a promise of excellence. You’ll safely navigate the highway and city streets, back into tight docks, and unload with precision. The CDL A Delivery Driver role goes beyond simply transporting goods - it’s about perfecting the craft of delivery, earning trust mile by mile, and serving as a vital link to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe Driving: Deliver products to our customers in a timely and safe manner
- Unloading: Skillfully unload products efficiently using a two-wheeler, ramp, or by hand, placing them in the designated storage areas – 100% touch freight
- Delivery Verification: Verify deliveries with customers & secure signatures
- Customer Service: Provide professional service to enhance customer experience
- Equipment Inspection: Conduct pre- & post-trip inspections to uphold safety standards
- Account Management: Handle collections and payments when applicable
- Adaptability: All other duties assigned by management

Physical Requirements
- Lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required
- Working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required
Qualifications
- Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Minimum 6-months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR 3-months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
- Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
- Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records

The Clearinghouse is a secure online database that provides real-time information about commercial driver’s license (CDL) and commercial learner’s permit (CLP) holders’ drug and alcohol program violations. Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $15.95/hr and $45.00/hr.
As applicable, this role may also receive: overtime compensation, retention bonus, component pay (i.e., based on cases, mileage, stops).
