Job Description:
This job is responsible for driving accurate, complete, and timely delivery of data. Key responsibilities include working with business stakeholders and technology teams to direct data management activities and ensure availability for use by appropriate consumers. Job expectations include managing execution within the enterprise data management standards, data quality, and control practices.

Manages execution of Enterprise Data Management, Global Records Management, & Governed Reporting Policies and Standards including monitoring data quality and control practices. Functions as a liaison between the Global Technology DSME and data management stakeholders that carry out data management tasks. Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to remediate gaps. Monitors key performance indicators and internal controls. Partners with stakeholders to create an infrastructure and processes that adhere to the EDM/GRM/Gov Rptg standards and other regulatory mandates. Works with other groups as needed, including Compliance, Audit, Operational Risk, and Technology to ensure effective controls over data for respective Domain. May indirectly manage others. 

Responsibilities:

  • Works with Line of Business partners, including Compliance, Audit, and Risk to understand needs and produce data solutions, often times in partnership with Technology 
  • Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to develop plans for resolution, including recommendations so that relevant risk and compliance policies and standards are met
  • Analyzes emerging needs for data to address risk, regulatory, or business enablement priorities and appropriately plans for interim and target state solutions within data management policies
  • Monitors key performance indicators and internal controls in accordance with established thresholds, standards, and policies
  • Serve as a liaison between the DSME organization and data management stakeholders, ensuring alignment on data management activities, standards, and execution across business and technology teams
  • Monitor data quality, control practices, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify out-of-tolerance conditions and emerging risks across the data lifecycle & partner with stakeholders to develop and execute remediation plans
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for EDM/GRM /Gov Rptg standards (e.g., data capture, transport, use, and external data transmission) and provide guidance to stakeholders on compliance expectation
  • Partner with FLU, DSME, and technology teams to design and implement processes, controls, and infrastructure that align to enterprise data standards and regulatory requirements
  • Support and facilitate data management assessments, QA reviews, and annual standards inspections, ensuring appropriate stakeholder engagement and follow-through
  • Monitor and report on data controls, risks, and adherence metrics, including researching and resolving metric breaches and control deficiencies
  • Drive education, awareness, and transparency of EDM /GRM/Gov Rptg standards adherence through reporting, stakeholder engagement, and governance routines

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required 5+ years financial industry experience required preferably with Finance, Tech or Data role
  • Detail oriented with the ability to handle a variety of tasks; works in a self-directed manner and takes a proactive approach to job responsibilities
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize work, manage complexity and deliver solutions on deadlines Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Experience in performing data analysis tasks
  • Demonstrated passion for intellectual curiosity and accuracy as well as the ability to research issues and identify root cause and patterns.
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills required
  • Spreadsheet skills, MS Access, MS Excel, Visual Basic for MS PowerPoint, SharePoint
