Your role at impact.com:
We are seeking a strategic, collaborative leader to bridge the gap between business objectives and data integrity. In this role, you will partner closely with key business stakeholders to translate high-level organizational goals into clear, actionable data governance frameworks.
Rather than focusing solely on day-to-day administrative execution, you will act as a strategic advisor—using your understanding of data structures to envision possibilities, define standards, and ensure our Salesforce and operational data environments directly support business growth, compliance, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Translation & Governance Framework
- Business-to-Data Translation: Collaborate cross-functionally with executive and departmental leaders to convert strategic priorities into robust, actionable data governance standards and policies.
- Framework Development: Design, roll out, and maintain the overarching data governance framework, defining ownership, stewardship, and accountability across all business units.
- Alignment & Vision: Align Salesforce and operational data strategies with broader enterprise objectives, ensuring data models scale alongside company growth.
Data Integrity, Quality & Oversight
- Quality Standards: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness using quality dashboards and reporting mechanisms.
- Standards Enforcement: Oversee master data management (MDM), picklist governance, naming conventions, and taxonomy standards to maintain clean, reliable data assets.
- Lifecycle Oversight: Guide data cleansing, deduplication strategies, and validation rules in partnership with technical teams.
Stakeholder Leadership & Compliance
- Governance Council: Facilitate data governance council meetings to drive cross-functional alignment on data priorities, trade-offs, and policies.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Work alongside Salesforce Admins, Architects, Developers, and Business Leads to assess data impacts prior to new feature deployments or release cycles.
- Security & Compliance: Partner with IT and Legal teams to ensure data practices comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, SOX) through clear access controls, classification, and retention policies.
What You Bring:
- Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to step back from technical execution to think strategically about how data governance enables business outcomes.
- Salesforce Architecture Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Salesforce CRM data structures, objects, relationships, and capabilities—enabling you to envision system possibilities and evaluate feasibility.
- Governance Experience: 3+ years in data governance, data management, or strategic Salesforce architecture/administration roles.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with a track record of building consensus, managing data stewardship programs, and educating business teams on governance principles.
- Project Leadership: Strong project management and organizational skills to lead governance initiatives from concept to adoption.
Preferred Background & Core Competencies
Preferred Background
- Experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations (RevOps), or CRM/Salesforce Management with a track record of driving operational efficiency through structured data.
Core Competencies
- Strategic Vision & Process Ownership: Ability to step back from technical details, design end-to-end data processes, and connect governance initiatives directly to revenue and operational outcomes.
- Analytical Problem-Solving: Skilled at diagnosing root causes of data quality issues and architecting long-term structural solutions rather than temporary fixes.
- Policy Architecture & Documentation: Proven ability to author clear, scalable data policies, governance frameworks, and data dictionary documentation that teams actually follow.
- Collaboration & Change Management: Exceptional interpersonal skills to drive cross-functional alignment, manage change, and inspire adoption of data governance best practices across all business levels.
- Data Literacy & Technical Aptitude: Deep understanding of relational databases, data architecture, and CRM systems to effectively bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution.
Preferred
- Salesforce certifications (Admin, Advanced Admin, Data Architect, Application Architect).
- Experience working within enterprise data governance programs.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks relevant to the organization.
Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year, plus an additional 5% variable annual bonus contingent on Company performance and eligible to receive a Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) grant.
