Data Engineer

itD is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data architectures and solutions that strengthen the organization’s data assets. The ideal candidate will bring experience in data engineering, enterprise ETL processes, and data management systems, with the ability to deliver reliable, high-performance data solutions aligned with business requirements and industry practices.

Location: Onsite - Menlo Park, CA

Pay Rate: $65 - $70 per hour, Depending on experience.

Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable data management systems that support organizational data requirements.
• Develop, implement, automate, and maintain large-scale enterprise ETL processes.
• Evaluate data architectures and solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and industry practices.
• Develop high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof-of-concept solutions.
• Collaborate with data architects, data modelers, and IT team members to align data solutions with project goals.
• Maintain and enhance data solutions to protect, deliver, and maximize the value of organizational data assets.
• Communicate technical concepts, project progress, and solution outcomes through clear written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Internal Responsibilities

• Attend regular internal practice community meetings.
• Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership.
• Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).
• Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice.
• Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual).
• Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining data management systems.
• Experience developing and maintaining enterprise-scale ETL processes.
• Ability to work effectively both independently, with minimal direction, and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with data architects, data modelers, and IT teams to achieve project goals.
• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Process improvement or process management certification, such as Six Sigma, CBPP, BPM, ISO 20000, ITIL, or CMMI.
• Experience developing high-performance algorithms, predictive models, prototypes, and proof-of-concept solutions.
• Familiarity with industry practices for data management, data protection, and enterprise data solution delivery.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field required.
