As a Cybersecurity L1 Associate you will support incident response activities within our Cybersecurity practice, helping identify, analyze, and resolve security events that affect client systems and data. As an Associate you will contribute to client engagement tasks while building your skills, adapting to changing situations, asking questions, and taking ownership of assigned work in a fast-paced environment. In this role at PwC, you will monitor alerts, gather information from multiple sources, document findings clearly, and contribute to efforts that reduce impact from cyber threats and support ongoing security operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring security events and logs to identify suspicious activity and escalating issues through incident response channels
- Analyzing alerts, indicators of compromise, and threat intelligence to support incident triage and containment actions
- Supporting digital forensic and log analysis tasks to help determine incident scope, root cause, and affected assets
- Documenting incident details, remediation steps, and case updates in ticketing and security tracking tools
- Assisting in vulnerability assessment and threat detection activities across network and security platforms
- Contributing to incident response plans by gathering evidence, validating control gaps, and tracking follow-up actions
- Collaborating with senior team members to execute mitigation measures and recover affected systems
- Applying cybersecurity framework knowledge to support client security operations and incident management tasks
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 1 to 3 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required
What Sets You Apart
- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Business Studies, Computer and Information Science, Information CyberSecurity, Information Technology, Management Information Systems
- At least one of the following: One or more certifications aligned to incident response and cyber defense, including GIAC (eg., GCFA, GCIA, GCIH) or equivalent incident response credentials
- Demonstrating coursework or internship exposure to cybersecurity incident handling
- Utilizing log analysis, threat detection, or vulnerability review skills
- Supporting security operations center tasks in fast-paced client settings
- Communicating clearly, asking questions, and learning from feedback
- Adapting quickly across varied teams, tools, and incident scenarios
