The Role and Impact As a CPU Circuit Design Engineer, you will be at the forefront of creating custom digital circuits for cutting-edge CPUs, including memory and caches. Your work will directly contribute to optimizing CPU power, performance, area, timing, and yield goals, ensuring Intel continues to deliver industry-leading innovations. Business group You will be joining the Silicon and Platform Engineering Group (SPE), a team that plays a crucial role in Intel's core mission of delivering world-class silicon solutions. SPE focuses on designing and developing advanced silicon and platform technologies that power Intel's processors, enabling innovations across computing, AI, and connectivity. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and build custom digital circuits for CPUs, including memory and caches. - Perform circuit design, schematic entry, floorplanning, and simulation for CPU blocks. - Verify functionality to ensure CPU circuits meet power, performance, area, timing, and yield goals. - Optimize performance, power, and area, while reducing leakage in CPU circuits. - Improve and automate design flows and methodologies for streamlined processes. - Collaborate with CPU architecture and layout teams to design circuits for maximum functionality, robustness, and electrical capabilities. - Characterize memory instances and memory compilers to ensure design quality. - Track, report, and resolve design progress and performance issues through cross-functional collaboration.Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related areas, with 0-1 years of hands-on experience in circuit design demonstrated through internships, academic projects, coursework, or hands-on training OR a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related areas with no prior professional experience. - Familiarity with industrial EDA tools. - Solid understanding of advanced CMOS technologies and physical layout techniques. - Proficiency in circuit simulation tools. - Strong written and verbal communication skills Your next challenge awaits.
