Job Description

County Jail Liaison

Overview: This position will serve as a member of the Forensic Services Division staff, Population Management team. The incumbent will work with another team member to provide support to individuals currently within the competency continuum and incarcerated at the Oklahoma County Jail.  Incumbent will operate as a player in a larger team setting to staff individuals and ensure needs are responded to in a timely manner.

  • Primary Working Hours are M-F; 8-5
  • Position location: ODMHSAS Central Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working within a county jail environment and with individuals experiencing justice involvement.
  • Ability to navigate ODMHSAS electronic health records platforms.
  • Working knowledge of the Oklahoma adult criminal justice system including navigating the Oklahoma Supreme Court Network (OSCN).
  • Ability or adaptability to navigate various computer-based reporting platforms.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Professional writing, documentation and communication skills.
  • Comfortable with working on tight deadlines; i.e. 48-hour turn around on a request.
  • Knowledge of carceral reentry best practices
  • Current and active Case Management II (CM II) certification.
  • A minimum of one year successfully utilizing CM II certification in an outpatient setting.
  • Experience working directly with a justice involved or forensic population.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree and three years of professional experience in social work, child support, adult protective services, child welfare, early childhood development and education, guidance and counseling, nursing, intellectual disability, probation and parole, public administration, community-based prevention and diversionary youth services programs, juvenile justice, rehabilitation counseling, vocational evaluation or vocational rehabilitation;
  • or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of additional qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
