About the opportunity:


St Vincent's Private Hospital Brisbane is seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our Food Services team on a casual basis.

About you:


You're someone who enjoys preparing quality food, takes pride in your work and understands the impact a good meal can have on a patient's day.


You'll bring:


  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent recognised qualification
  • Current Food Safety/Food Handling certification
  • Minimum two years' experience in a cooking role
  • Experience working in a commercial kitchen environment
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, hygiene, infection control and food safety practices
  • Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirements and safe manual handling practices
  • Previous experience within healthcare or aged care environments (desirable)
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts across a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends
