The Talent Management team is seeking a Workday Learning & Training Governance Specialist for a six-to-12-month, project-based contract. This role will clean up, standardize and improve operations training data and processes in Workday Learning through hands-on system administration, data validation and clear governance documentation.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Review and combine role-based training requirements from spreadsheets and legacy sources into a standard structure
  • Validate learner profiles, audiences, assignments and completion records and correct data issues
  • Configure and maintain learner populations, programs, dynamic audiences and assignment rules based on role, location and work tags
  • Process and validate mass uploads, learning record corrections and other high-volume maintenance activities
  • Document business rules, naming standards, assignment logic, governance requirements and updated processes
  • Identify ways to reduce manual work and improve the accuracy and auditability of training records

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Post-secondary education in human resources, business, information systems or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work
  • Knowledge of learning management system administration. Workday Learning knowledge is strongly preferred
  • Data management skills, including validating large datasets, investigating data issues and completing accurate corrections
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, data comparisons and large data files
  • Familiarity with learner assignments, training matrices, course catalogs, curriculum structures or learning governance
  • Strong organization, analytical thinking and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently as priorities change
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills with technical and business partners

 

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Ovintiv's reasonable estimate of the hiring compensation range for this role.

 

HIRING SALARY RANGE:  $45.00 - $55.00/hour USD

 

Compensation may vary and will be determined by the geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
