Position Overview


The Autodesk Consulting team is seeking a talented and dynamic leader to manage a key consulting team in Japan. As an important member of the Management team within our Enterprise Customer Success organization, you will articulate a clear vision of success to our customers while leading and inspiring a team of highly skilled professionals who help customers transform their businesses.

As the Manager, Consulting Services, you will play a direct role in shaping how Autodesk delivers professional services while collaborating with thought leaders and stakeholders across Autodesk and the broader industry.

This position is based in Tokyo, Japan.

Responsibilities


  • Directly manage and develop a team of highly skilled consultants supporting customers across the Japan market while achieving key performance indicators
  • Demonstrate excellence in strategic thinking, business process optimization, and customer engagement planning
  • Collaborate across functions to drive sales bookings and successful customer outcomes
  • Serve as a trusted business partner to customers and internal Autodesk stakeholders for professional consulting services
  • Drive execution excellence by proactively managing customer engagement schedules, resource and staffing plans, and the preparation, review, and delivery of customer deliverables
  • Develop high-performing consultants through coaching, career development, and training plans aligned with current and anticipated skill requirements and individual career aspirations
  • Ensure team members consistently deliver the highest standards of quality, professionalism, and customer service
  • Build strong partnerships across Technical, Sales, Project Management, and Customer Success teams to deliver successful customer engagements
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve consulting practices, delivery processes, and customer outcomes

Minimum Qualifications


  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to take initiative, make informed decisions, and drive recommendations and issues through resolution
  • 3+ years of experience managing and developing a team
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse Technical, Sales, and Project Management teams
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in the Manufacturing or Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industries, with a strong understanding of relevant business processes
  • Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and structured project management methodologies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, including international travel
  • Professional fluency in Japanese and intermediate proficiency in English
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience building and developing high-performing teams in evolving business environments
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business challenges and strategic objectives into effective solutions
  • Strong knowledge of engineering industry practices and processes or the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry
  • Advanced experience developing and enabling Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows across architects, engineers, and contractors
  • Experience using Autodesk solutions such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, Revit, Civil 3D, Autodesk Navisworks, and InfraWorks
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline

  • Leads, coaches, and develops highly skilled consulting professionals while creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • Builds trusted relationships with customers and serves as a strategic advisor on complex business and technology transformation initiatives
  • Translates customer business challenges and desired outcomes into practical consulting strategies and solutions
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of Manufacturing or Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry processes and customer workflows
  • Balances strategic leadership with hands-on management of customer engagements, staffing, deliverables, and operational priorities
  • Collaborates effectively across Sales, Customer Success, Technical, and Project Management teams to achieve shared customer and business outcomes
  • Uses sound judgment to navigate complex customer engagements, resolve challenges, and make effective decisions
  • Develops talent by aligning coaching, training, and career development with individual aspirations and evolving business needs
  • Communicates confidently with customers, senior stakeholders, and cross-functional teams in both Japanese and English
  • Identifies opportunities to improve consulting delivery, operational efficiency, and customer value
  • Demonstrates adaptability, ownership, and a commitment to delivering the highest standards of quality and professionalism
