We are launching a brand-new membership-only warehouse club business in Thailand, modelled after Sam’s Club. We are seeking a seasoned leader with direct Club operations and commercial experience to own the end-to-end build-out and launch of this new club format. This individual will act as a mini-CEO for the Thailand club venture, accountable for both operations and commercial performance across the entire business.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End New Format Launch & Business Leadership Autonomy to run the club venture launch in Thailand: strategy finalisation, pre-opening setup, grand opening, and post-launch scaling. Lead the entire new club format build-out, replicating and adapting the club-style warehouse club model to fit Thailand market.
2. Commercial Leadership Own commercial strategy, membership value proposition, merchandising & product assortment, pricing, private label development, member acquisition & retention, marketing, category planning, supplier sourcing and P&L delivery. Drive revenue, membership growth, gross margin and commercial profitability targets.
3. Operations Leadership Oversee all club store operations: inbound supply chain, warehouse & in-store operations, inventory management, store layout, staffing & labour planning, quality control, loss prevention, member service, and daily club execution. Establish standard operating procedures aligned with warehouse club best practices.
4. Cross-functional Team Building & Management Build and lead the local Thailand core team covering merchandising, operations, membership, supply chain and finance. Set organisation structure, hire key managers, define KPIs, develop talent and drive team culture. Manage vendor, landlord, supplier and regulatory stakeholder relationships.
5. Market Adaptation & Business Optimisation Translate club operating and commercial playbooks into the Thai market, adapting product range, member benefits, operational workflows and cost structure for local consumer behaviour, regulations and supply landscape. Monitor market competition, identify risks and propose corrective actions to hit business targets.
6. Reporting & Stakeholder Alignment Prepare regular business performance dashboards and updates for regional/group leadership. Align investment plans, capital expenditure and business roadmap with headquarters.

Requirements

• Mandatory: Direct working experience at clubs, with proven track record covering both operations and commercial domains (merchandising, membership, store operations, P&L).
• Deep hands-on experience launching or scaling warehouse / membership club retail format.
• End-to-end business leadership experience, comfortable owning P&L and acting as a general business leader / mini-CEO for a retail format.
• Strong commercial acumen: category assortment, private label, membership business model, pricing and margin management.
• Solid operations expertise: warehouse club supply chain, inventory, store operations, pre-opening and launch management.
• Experience building and leading multi-functional teams in a cross-border / international retail expansion context.
• Fluent in English.
• Willing to be based full-time in head office, Bangkok, Thailand.
